Op shop
Money raised through Inner Journey Ministry’s opportunity shops fund services to help the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the local community.
Op shop volunteers
Our volunteers in the Op Shops Program are aged between 18 and 80+ years with extensive life experiences and volunteer for varied reasons. Some wish to improve their English, others are wanting to develop skills to return to work, give back to the community or develop friendships.
The success of our shop is due to the tireless efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers who willingly donate their time and energy to work in the shops each week.
We are always interested to hear from people who would like to join the roster. If you enjoy meeting people and can spare a few hours per week, please contact us.
In addition to volunteering at the shop, we have also recruited volunteers who have particular skills that the Op Shops Program can utilise, for example a retired builder/ electrician to assist with repairs and maintenance in the shop. They perform a variety of tasks including electrical testing, recycling metals, pickups from doners.
